Teaching and Learning are the fundamental purpose of the school community and as such it is recognised that all members of that community have an essential role to play in its success.
The National Curriculum is comprised of the following 3 core and 8 foundation subjects:-

- Art
- Physical Education
The levels of Attainment range through 4 Key Stages and at the end of each stage, the pupils are tested to find at which level they are in each of the core subjects. Thus the levels for each Key Stage range as follows:-
Foundation Stage (4 –5 Reception) Working towards level 1
Key Stage 1 (5 - 7 Yrs - Infants) Levels 1 - 3.
The average pupil will be at Level 2 at the end of the Key Stage.
Key Stage 2 (7 - 11 yrs. - Juniors) Levels 3 - 5.
The average pupil will be at Level 4 at the end of the Key Stage.
Key Stages 3 and 4 are covered at Secondary School.
