Whole School Trip to Minnis Bay

Warhol Class really enjoyed the whole school trip to Minnis Bay. We paddled in the sea, built sandcastles and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine!

Making Chocolate Bars

This term we have been learning all about chocolate. After learning about how it is made, we decided to make some ourselves. We used cacao butter, cocoa powder, icing sugar and milk powder. We also filled our chocolate bars with other sweet treats, such as biscuit pieces or smarties. After they had set in the fridge we designed and made our chocolate wrappers.

The Royal Wedding Celebrations

We had a brilliant day celebrating the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. We wore our best wedding guest outfits and took part in many wedding themed activities, including becoming wedding planners and choosing venues, flowers and cakes for a particular amount of money. In the afternoon we had a wonderful street party in the playground with some delicious party food.

Science: The Spaghetti Tower Challenge

In science we took part in a spaghetti challenge. The target was for teams to build the tallest and most sturdy structure using only spaghetti and marshmallows. It got a little sticky, but all teams worked brilliantly as a team and were extremely resilient.

Year 2 Class Assembly

Salt Dough Dinosaur Fossils

We made some dinosaur fossils using air dry salt dough. The dough was made using flour and salt. We used small dinosaur toys, models and bones to press into the dough.

Sydenham Hill Woods February 2018

Here are a few photos of Warhol Class from December, including photos from the Nativity performance. We also made Christingles in RE.
