We had a great time at Minnis Bay on our whole school trip. We had so much fun playing in the sand and dipping our toes in the sea! Luckily the weather stayed warm and dry and we were all very tired by the time we returned to school.
We went to Crystal Palace Park Farm. It was a beautiful, hot and sunny day and we got to meet lots of amazing animals. Firstly we got to meet Romeo the sheep. We were able to stroke him and learnt that sheep can even have best friends! Next, we were introduced to Alfie the Shetland pony. We used special brushes to comb his summer coat. As we walked around the farm we were able to feed sheep and alpaca. We also lots of other smaller animals, such as meerkats and rabbits. Afterwards, we ate our lunch in the park and enjoyed seeing the famous Crystal Palace Park dinosaurs!
We had an incredible time at the Horniman Museum taking part in the pond dipping and animal habitats workshop. We were able to explore two different habitats and use a variety of methods to catch different types of animals.
We found woodlice, slugs, ants and dragonfly nymphs. We made sure to put them all back safely, but enjoyed looking at them closely with our special equipment.
We have had an exciting start to Mog Class and have already achieved some wonderful things and created some beautiful learning.
