National Day Of Reflection

National Day Of Reflection

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you know tomorrow, on the 23rd March it will be one year since the first UK lockdown.  In order to mark this day, as a school we are getting involved in the first National Day of Reflection.  Since March 2020 millions of people have been bereaved,  both as a result of Covid-19 and due to other causes. The National Day of Reflection will be a chance for us as School to unite and reflect on the past year.

At midday tomorrow we will be holding a minutes silence and we will share the following prayer with our children.

God of love,

As we think about all that has changed this year,

help us to trust that you are always with us.

As we remember those who have died,

help us to trust that they are at peace with you.

As we reach out to others with kindness and care,

may hope shine out in every heart and home.

Thank you once again for your love, kindness and support.

With kind regards as always,

Sarah-Jane Pendleton
