Travel Ambassadors

It is a priority at Holy Trinity to ensure that our pupils travel to school safely. The role of the Junior Travel Ambassadors is to help ensure that Road Safety remains a high profile.

Our JTA's are chosen because they are committed to sustainable transport and understand the need for children to be safe travelling to school.

Their responsibilities include assisting our Lewisham Road Safety Officer when she comes into school to give road safety assemblies. They also help to collect information and carry out surveys for the School Travel Plan.

We are currently working on our Travel Plan to make improvements with how many children walk or scoot to school and how we teach Road Safety at Holy Trinity.

The week of 21st to 25th May is Walk to School Week. We would love to encourage as many of you as possible to walk to school even just once next week. This could even mean parking a little further away and walking the final part of the journey.

The Travel Ambassadors ran a fabulous assembly on the first day of Walk to School Week to let everyone know what we will be doing.
